Where is Tirupati Balaji Temple

The Tirupati-Balaji Temple is one of the most sacred places in India. Tirupati-Balaji Temple is the richest temple in the world. It is famous for Lord Venkateshwara Deity.The name Tirupati-Balaji means the 'Lord of Goddess Lakshmi'.

Tirupati town is situated in the Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh (India). It is about 67-km from Chittoor district & 152 km from Chennai City. The Tirupati Balaji Temple is located on a hill at Tirumala, a cluster of seven hills known as ‘Venkatachalam’ with a height of 853mtr above the sea level. In Andhra Pradesh, State Road Transport Corporation buses (SRTC) ply regularly to Tirupati from chittor and other district.

You can reach Tirupati by any kind of transport.

Road :
Tirupati is the third largest bus station in Andhra Pradesh.You can easily get regular buses from all the cities in Andhra Pradesh as well as the nearest states because Tirupati has bus services connecting to almost each and every important city and town. You can also take taxis for covering long distances. Road Transport is the most superior way to reach tirupati for local devotees.

Tirupati has its own railway station. Tirupati Railway Station is connected to all the cities in the country. From Tirupti, there are regular trains plying to major cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkatta, Hyderabad, etc. Now-a-days, Due to the comfort of devotees, the station is undergoing modernization.

The nearest airport is situated at Renigunta, which is situated about 15 km from Tirupati town. It has regular flights for almost all the major cities in India, like Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, etc. Chennai is the nearest international airport from Tirupati.
